The character of Sawyer was originally intended to be an older, slick urban con artist from Buffalo, NY. However, when Josh Holloway forgot a line at his audition and subsequently kicked a chair in frustration and cursed loudly, the writers liked the playfulness he brought to the character of Sawyer and decided to write Sawyer as more of a Southern, darker drifter. Jin and Sun are married and share the last name “Kwon”, which becomes an important plot point in the final season.

It’s amazing how well the series has aged. When you see it all again, some of the stories make a lot more sense. I even think the ending makes a lot more sense now.
This is something I was completely blind to when I first saw Lost
It’s an amazing series that paved the way for the wonderful landscape of high-quality TV series we enjoy today.
