He has already directed episodes of the TV show Lastman (2016)
Narrative
Set in the 23rd century on Mars, the plot follows the investigation of a murder case created by private investigator Aline Ruby and her android companion Carlos Rivera. It is the first feature film for director Jérémie Périn. In 2018, producer Didier Creste approached him and Laurent Sarfati, the creator and writer of Lastman, to work on a film adaptation of their series. Instead, they convinced him to create an original idea, a neo-noir sci-fi animated film, which he managed to find financing for, which eventually became Mars Express.

LEM: My dear friends, fuck yourselves.. Million Miles Away Written by Fred Avril and Philippe Monthaye Narrated by Alice Lewis. While it may not be a genre-bending film, there is a lot to like about it. Starting with the beautiful animation style, which is very smooth, colorful, and detailed at every turn.
However, the characters are not strong enough to be memorable
The 2D art style fits the story and its futuristic feel well. The music and sounds also complement the overall feel of the film. The English dubbed version is well done, with every voice perfectly fitting the characters. The dialogue is always purposeful, providing context or helping the characters develop.
Even the villain is very stereotypical
There are funny moments, but just enough to keep things light-hearted. The pacing and structure make for an easy viewing experience. There are action and chase sequences that break up the exposition, but nothing over the top. The film was good when it was a mystery thriller, but when it changes direction to try to have something with deeper meaning, it takes a leap.
This is still a good movie, but the ending was depressing
Ultimately, the ending was a disappointment, which led to a lower rating.
